I thought I'd share some of the useful books and resources I've used since I started trading last year which are fundamental in nature and are outside of the material from Sykes. I became a trader after consolidating my retirement accounts from various jobs with one firm, not seeing the results I wanted, then moving those to another firm while taking a more active role. I wanted to better understand the decisions which were being made with my money and how I could replicate the profits while minimizing the losses. This led to a curiosity about economics and branched into the decision to take more responsibility by starting to trade with a portion of my accounts. I'm quite conscious of how my actions while trading will affect my financial future. Therefore, the big picture, to me, is what will inform my day-to-day decisions. I'd like to think of trading as a second job, one which, if I manage the risk correctly, will allow me to retire comfortably (perhaps early) and leave a legacy for my family. This isn't a comprehensive list of the respective subjects. It's just a collection of entry points that one can launch from as desired. I hope others will find them as useful as I have.
