After 4 months in the challenge, I spent some time revisiting my personal vision statement. It was good. I added one line that early on I was trying to figure out how to word that was more clear to me--my goals. And also changed some verb tenses in the final sentence. Otherwise, the statement was overall unchanged.
It was an interesting exercise to revisit my state of mind 4 months ago and compare to how it is now. Also a good reminder of where I want to be and how far I still have to go.
Personal Vision Statement:
I have joined this challenge because I value education. I value learning how to trade penny stocks and believe this challenge can make me a better trader. Through studying, training, mentorship, and community, I strive to establish strong daily habits, shore up my weaknesses, and identify and overcome bad habits that could prevent me from reaching my goals: mastering the skill, knowledge, and understanding of trading.
As a novice trader, I believe my best chance at success is to cautiously respect the limits of my current knowledge, understanding, and ability, while also welcoming the knowledge, wisdom, and effort of the mentors and other students engaged in this process with me. Humility is key to my success and my greatest ally.
I have learned in my life that if I set my mind to learning a new skill—and pursue it with all diligence and adequate mentorship—I will one day reach my goals and beyond. I entered this endeavor because I believed wholeheartedly that success was possible from Day One; therefore, I will always look for success.
I can recover from any loss, as the only true failure is not getting up again.
Finally, I am extraordinarily thankful for the support of my family and friends, as theirs is the catalyst I need to breakout to new heights.
@SassyB Ty for that insight. In fact, it's something I included so when I review this I can remind myself of my values and re-center myself when I stray too far from my vision statement.
On thing @sarimanap likes to say is that no one is better than anyone. We are all students. And it's true. We all have something to learn, and if don't remember that, the market will teach us very quickly.
Very cool. I like. Great inspiration
@DocBrian LOVE IT!
