I started trading in 2012 and learned a lot about the stock market but the most valuable things I've learned is about myself. When I started trading in 2012 I made nearly $60k in the first year and thought I know everything about the stock market. I was wrong. After I made my $60k in first year greed started to creep up on me. I wanted to make more and more and make crazy bets. I lost almost all of it back in the next 2 years. This is what I get for being greedy. At least for the wrong reasons.
After I almost lost it all back I started to revaluate myself and see what I did wrong. I always wanted to be great at trading ever since I started trading. Along the way I got it confused with greed. I realized that to be great at the things you do in life it requires a few things to practice. As far as morality goes. You need patience, practices, study, learning, have the right perception and a good heart. When you're greedy you lose a sight of all these things. That's when things goes wrong.
Now I put these things first before focusing purely on money. It's crazy because when you put money first you end up losing it but when you practice the things I mentioned money ends up coming along with them. So I urge everyone to do the same. I hope everyone all the riches in the world but know that not all the things in life can be replace with money. It's more important to be a good person with great heart who focuses on learning, growing and helping others to be great.
Sorry my English isn't that good but I hope you get the point.
Well said! I hope that trading will allow me the opportunity to give back in my community. I have a lot to learn and will achieve this goal strive my fellow trader!!
