The problem here was this was out of the money which is a no no. I had decent luck with options and tried to up the number of contracts used, but this got clobbered despite earnings being good.
The problem here was the chart was not as flat, and we held through earnings. Despite earnings being good, as every good company does near highs on good earnings is this thing collapsed. Never hold through earnings.
Got smashed with this one, at one point I was up 50% and should of taken profits, but got greedy, held through earnings and despite good earnings this stock got fucking smoked.
Was hoping to make more out of this one, but it didn't break out the way I had expected, at one point I was down about 70-80%, but they beat earnings and this thing turned around and was able to get out with a little profit.
Got out with a profit here, was hoping to get more, but still grateful. At one point was down about 80% on this, but weathered the storm. Next time I wont get in as early.
This worked out nicely, based on a cup and handle, had below avg volume on breakout day, but option was up 33% and IV of 18% prior to breakout, but held for a few weeks and this prevailed. I got lucky cause got filled on the ask on the exit, may got more, but happy with a 73% return when my aim was only 50%.
Nailed this one. Had an expansion volume breakout at 52 week highs. Bought slight in the money calls for August after a break on volume out of accumulation.
Another failed option played. Should of realized the option volume was small, and held through earnings where this got walloped.
Made a mistake on this one by buying an out of the money, I also held into earnings, didn't wait for this to have no resistance, and the biggest mistake was I hold on a gap up when I should of sold first thing in the morning on good earnings, and as a result, it gapped and crapped, even on excellent earnings, so lesson here is to sell on gaps and never buy OTM options.
This one is my fault for buying too far OTM on no news and not at a 52 week high. Bought when there was resistance at the high instead of buying a breakout on volume from a base making new highs.
