Bad attempt at a scalp. Should never have gone in. The stock was very weak, and it was a Friday afternoon. Now I know better. Nonetheless, there was no loss because I consistently played it safe.
Could have made over $50 but decided to let it go in case the stock wanted to run up more. Set stop loss for 3.65 and stock sold for 3.64. I understand now that this wasn't a strong play, and I should have treated it like the scalp play it was and sold when I was up $50+. No regrets here. Good learning and no losses.
Gave back all of my profits unfortunately. I read what was happening incorrectly and was also too slow to get out before the market closed. I had to get out during AH while trying to keep my account above 25k. Now I know what an end of day pullback looks like as I was staring hard at level 2, T&S, and 1 minute candles. Ended my day with $3 profit.
I decided to scalp this stock as much as I could. Unfortunately, every time I looked at it, I could not see enough strength to buy. Travis stated to me in chat that 13 was a good place on the 5min chart. I require studying because I did not see this.
Stock went up and came back down hitting my stop loss of 14.46 which caused me to sell at 14.45.
Still attempting to get my account over 25k again. I hadn't realized yet that my account was still a cash account, so my buying power kept getting smaller.
