Let's analyze $AIFF today. IRIS liked this stock premarket, it was a premarket spiker in the technology sector. It spiked for the first two minutes of the market open and then traded sideways. All premarket it uptrended. The premarket high was 4.57 a few minutes before it opened, and it opened at 4.49 and spiked all the way up to 5.70 before trading sideways for 8 minutes before coming all the way back down to the opening price. My strategy is to dip buy these stocks - since it spiked for multiple minutes after the market open, I still consider it worth dip buying. Where did it dip to? It dipped all the way back down to the open price before offering an excellent bounce. My conclusion is that when a stock spikes for several minutes immediately when the market opens you can dip buy it when/if it dips back down to the market open price. In this case, the market open was 4.49 and it dipped down to 4.37 before bouncing all the way back to 4.9899. Now, IRIS always gives a buy price. What was the buy price for $AIFF? It was $3.50. Far below what the opening price was, BUT, if you had waited for several hours, at 11:24 it hit 3.51 which is quite close enough before it gave a clean 6-7 percent bounce. What a remarkable stock today. See my OST screenshot for the chart.
