This morning was an excellent example of my trading schedule! Trading from my kitchen counter while getting kids fed and ready for school is no easy feat. I also needed to be ready to go for my day job (which I will replace with my future trading career). And on top of that trying to completely immerse myself in Tim's videos so he won't yell at me in the chatroom for asking a question I know is on a dvd somewhere but I just can't watch all 500 hours in one week, is to say the least exhausting. Yup, I'm tired, super tired but that doesn't stop me. Although I couldn't trade/watch much today and it frustrated me it's all I could think about while I took care of my customer's needs, dealt with staffing issues with some of our 30 plus employees and drove my kids around. The only thing that stopped me from thinking trading was when my 5 year old counted from 1-29 in French while driving her home. That very moment made all this trading frustration worth it! That moment all I could do was smile, laugh and think about how smart and wonderful my kids are, how lucky I am and that all this that I'm doing is ultimately for them. I love my kids, they are my everything and they motivate me to want trading success even more. It's not Thanksgiving here in Canada but I am so thankful for my family. I don't believe in balance in life instead I believe in priorities. What is the priority list for today? For the next hour? For tomorrow?
I am blessed to have a husband who likes to cook dinner most nights even after he's put in a 12-15 hour day at our bakery. But today I just couldn't ask him to make another dinner. It had to be my turn. Thank goodness for crockpots because while I was watching my beloved Canadian stock $KEK I was cutting up potatoes to add to the pot roast that would cook all day while I was at work.
I swear my family is going to start thinking I am having an affair with some loudmouth younger man named Tim.
But I will do this and I am going to bring the financial freedom for my family that we all deserve.
Here's me: Wife, Mom to 5 kids, owner of 2 successful bakeries and ooh so much more but that's enough for now.
Why did I do this? Why did I sign up to be a challenge student?? Because I want to work from home and all over and make a very healthy income and I believe Tim can coach me to get there.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, even for those of us not American. Love your family and friends and make sure that they are on your priority list even when you feel obsessed with getting this trading thing down to a science!
Now I'm off to enjoy a delicious crock pot dinner!
of life before trading. I'm hoping to trade for a living at some point when I have enough time in to get a decent pension and not have to get a real job. Trading is just as much 'work' as anything else is but you can't let it consume you like you said; gotta take care of the home-front first. Nice post.
Great attitude. Good to have another female trader onboard. :)
@Chongette32 yes!!!! We are totally under represented! @timothysykes can we have a special women trader group under you?
@Palmer some days we have to take things one day at a time and other days one hour at a time. We can all do this to provide more freedom for ourselves and our families if we stick together and learn from each other and learn from @timothysykes
