Tim says cut losses quickly but its so hard because if i sell i have to wait 3 days for my money to clear to reinvest. Sucks having a small account. Also seems like more often then not if i would had waited the stock goes back up and i would had made money. I would never second guess Tim but im struggling with this one...
I'm having the same problem...... waiting for funds to clear after a trade. That being said, if you don't cut losses quickly, you may end up without and funds to trade with! Just have to focus om making the right trades and follow the rules.
I lost today 25% on HART because I didn't cut losses quickly. I should have sold yesterday, broke the rule and lost a third of my account. Lesson learned. Look at opening two different brokers.
get a margin account. no funds to settle you can make a trade the second after you make a sale
