This post is mainly for people, who are under 25 years old OR people who have someone in their family who is under 25 years old and they can use their IDs just for the account opening. That way I openend an account with Interactivebrokers with only 3,000$ and can short all stocks I want. I really hesitated at the beginning between which broker opening an account, but when I learned that IB offered this solution for beginners, I didn't hesitate one second more

I'm really grateful for IB to allow us students use this opportunity and have access to their fantastic short-selling shares availability.
